Steel and ivory
Length: 13cm - Caliber 8mm
Round barrel, rifled, numbered on bottom 4438; brass front sight. Marked on top GAULOIS. Engraved and silver-plated finish
Silver-plated frame - mechanically engraved, marked on top: Cal.8mm. Also marked MANUFACTURE D'ARMES et CYCLES de SAINT-ETIENNE. The left side is marked SURETE - FEU - DECHARGEMENT ET DEMONTAGE; and on the right side MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE D'ARMES DE SAINT-ETIENNE.
Jasper breech. Ivory grip, with number 3419 (cracked and small missing).
The 4438 serial number can be found on the inside of the frame and cover plate, along with the initials P and T.
Good condition.
Tan leather holster with two compartments opening at each end. One side for the pistol and the other for ammunition storage.
The MANUFACTURE D'ARMES et CYCLES de SAINT-ETIENNE mark is embossed and gilded.
Invention by Etienne MIMARD and Pierre BLACHON, founders of the Manufacture française d'armes et cycles de Saint-Etienne.
