"Napoleon III Liqueur Cellar"
Napoleon III richly decorated liquueur cellar resting on 4 gilded bronze contours legs. This ebony wood cellar is decorated with "Boulle" marquetry combining different colors on the hood, the facade and the sides with interlacing and scroll patterns. Its hood and base are surrounded by gilded bronze. With its key, the interior is in varnished mahogany, opens from above with the facade which lifts and folds down. The sides open up like shutters, revealing what you need to serve the alcohol. The interior reveals a display of 16 cut-sided glasses with a square base in engraved crystal, gilded with fine gold with a motif of vine leaves and 4 crystal carafes with their stoppers decorated with grapes and leaves vine, with their label (armagnac, cognac, rum, calvados). A display liftes 4 columns simulating gilded bronze vine stocks and a stem in the center with its gilded bronze handle .
