BOX of Holy Oils in pewter, slightly frustoconical in shape, with a hinged nippled lid topped with a cross.
Control mark: CC crowned / 1709 / TOL (for Tolosa).
Diameter: 4 inches.
TOULOUSE, first half of the 18th century.

Good condition, a consolidation of the bottom on the base is however reported. One of the three bulbs is reported. But old
In Toulouse the control mark, contrary to what was required by royal regulations, was not periodically updated and this mark with the vintage 1709 was used for a large part of the century; it therefore does not allow precise dating of the objects carrying it.
