Early 19th century glassware. Lacemaker's magnifying lamp in blown glass with beaded bell base, intended to be filled with water and placed in front of a candle, also used by craftsmen, goldsmiths... all trades requiring precision in work when the light of the day was insufficient.
Beautiful size, blown glass, thick and heavy glass.
Good condition, pontil, note some small bubbles and slight traces of transparent blowing and slight traces of limescale due to its use.
Reflections in the glass during photography.
