This hanger was used to support a large light fixture. With its elegant but sober design, it was to be used in a hall, beautiful stables, a public place, bank, hotel...
The part attached to the ceiling is in an inverted cone ending in reverse cushioning in stepped moldings. Five bails are fixed on the cone and carry as many bronze cords ending in bails as well. The cords carry the counterpart of the cone in the shape of a trunk and their bails are blocked in five pitons to hold the trunk. A hook under the trunk is used to easily attach a light fixture, a lantern, etc. I have never seen such a light fixture element, it can be used easily in all situations and with various light fixtures.

Condition:
Very good condition, complete, a few small invisible dents from use, beautiful patina of use.Tiny holes made for electricity .
Without fragility to carry a heavy light fixture

I acquired the lot from an old bronze maker.
