Sculptural table lamp made by Henri Fernandez in the 1970s. The lamp is mounted with a slice of polished petrified wood set in brass with a round leaf hiding the bulb. He later worked for other renowned designers and architects, including Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. In the 1950s, Fernandez began working for the French automobile company Facel Vega, where he designed the interiors of the brand's luxury cars, including the famous Facel Vega HK500. He has also designed interiors for yachts, airplanes and hotels. In 1960, Fernandez established his own design agency, where he continued to design interiors for residential, commercial and institutional projects. He has worked for many prestigious clients, including French President Georges Pompidou.
