The theme is directly inspired by Joséphine Baker and the movements of her body visible during her shows. The simplified backgrounds, treated in large flat areas of color, bring out lines of great purity that the artist has delicately treated in full and clear lines. The carpet is in perfect condition, it has just come out of restoration.
