"Extraordinary Desk & Chair 1956 Jean Louis Bonnant For Jacques Tati Design France 1950"
Extraordinary desk set by Jean Louis Bonnant made for the film "Mon oncle" by Jacques Tati (1956). The chair and desk incorporate the “traditional” attributes of French design from the 1950s: tubular metal, black melamine top (formica), oak drawer suspension in the style of Pierre Paulin. The chair was notably designed for the film by Jacques Tati and appears there (with or without armrest), hence the deduction that the associated desk is also signed Jean Louis Bonnant. Much rarer, the desk is in good condition - apart from some probable absences of metal rod on the back. The curved lines of the plane top resting on a light metal base show a very beautiful design.
