Tobacco Box Museum, Adam And Eve: Good Life! Netherlands, Circa 1730, Good Condition

Pipe tobacco box from the Netherlands, engraved 1713 in the sun rays, a fairly rare contoured shape to find, a wonderful subject.
Brass and copper body in three parts in shape of an elongated box, Lid and underside decorated with engraving of two heavenly scenes from the Garden of Eden, comic strips which do not lack humor.
Animals are superb, friendly, wonderfully drawn, naked couple in great shape... a pleasure to see, but caution: Eve has just taken the apple in hand!
On each side, an evangelist is engraved in a round reserve, John, Luke, Matthew and Mark.
Red copper body is an animated deer hunt, on the other side, a hare…
Dimensions: 17.5cm x 5cm x 4cm. Weight: 200g.
