This little worker in blackened pear wood opens with an animated lid inlaid with Amboyna burl with brass trim on the edge. This cover is inlaid with Amboyna burl, ebony fillets and rosewood decorated with a central motif and mother-of-pearl friezes. The belt which has a similar marquetry has on the front an original lock with key and inlaid entrance. The interior offers a mirror and storage space accompanied by a partitioned sliding rack. The whole rests on four arched legs with bronze falls profiled on hooves.
