Religious Italian painting from the first half of the 19th century. Oil on canvas painting depicting a beautiful Madonna, of excellent pictorial quality. She is depicted with her arms crossed at chest height in a gesture that indicates the unconditional acceptance of divine will, while the twelve stars on her head refer to a Marian symbolism, namely the immaculate conception. Contemporary frame in carved and gilded wood, of beautiful decoration, with some signs of aging. Artwork already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and recoloring in some small spots. Painting overall in good state of conservation. Sight size H 57 x W 48 cm.
