What is the Hand Tufted rug?
Soft, fluffy and perfectly suited to contemporary designs, the Hand Tufted rug, also called Hand-Tuft or Asian Point has become a reference in the world of designer rugs.
This technique offers the artisan upholsterer great freedom of manufacture. Tufting is a process using artisanal manufacturing methods, ancestral know-how mainly developed in India and China, and modern weaving tools.
The weaving is done by hand, the craftsman implanting the textile strands, directly into a cotton canvas, a canvas stretched on a vertical loom. Tufting is done using a strand gun following the colors, the design and the different heights of the strands of the product.
