Object description :

""edges Of Jolan In Cusset, 1950" - Jean Folcher - Expressionism "
Representation of the “edges of Jolan in Cusset” by Jean Folcher, a French painter who treats his subject in the expressionist vein for a luminous and intense rendering.
His vigorous and lively touch can evoke some works of the "Paris school".
Originally from Hérault, Jean Auguste Felix Folcher was born in Saint-André-de-Sangonis in 1902 and died in Vichy in Allier in 1972.

He was a student of Paul Albert Laurens and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1931. ( source Bénézit)
