"J.-m. Camus. Gilt Bronze Sculpture, Child Bust"
Jean-Marie CAMUS (1877-1955).
Gilded bronze sculpture: "Bust of a pensive child".
The head and gaze turned to the left with a mischievous look and loose, curly hair.
The bottom of the child's bust extends over the base.
Early 20th century, circa 1905. Quadrangular base in Onyx.
Height 10.7 cm L 7.4 cm D 3.8 cm

Jean-Marie CAMUS (1877-1955) was born in Clermont Ferrand. A student of Barrias and Coutan, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris from 1900 and received a gold medal "out of competition" in 1931. Knight of the Legion of Honor.
