Important high quality semi-antique Tabriz hand-knotted around 1950 in Armenia, measuring 288 cm wide by 392 cm long.
This very beautiful Persian rug takes up the shapes, patterns, colors of ancient Tabriz with an exceptional decoration: important and magnificent medallion with multiple points and double long and important pendants.
Sumptuous floral decoration, ivory foliage and palms, luxuriant work, foliage, animals, and numerous calligraphy cartridges in gold letters on an ivory background.
Precise work and great harmony, quality wool, minor wear and extraordinary border.
## In very good used condition, beautiful collector's rug in Kork wool of the finest quality.
Persian rug incorporating the criteria of ancient Persian decorations, knotted with great finesse and high quality wool, kork wool.
This wool is the first wool of the lamb, it is taken under the belly and on the neck. Around 1950 we could hardly imagine the immense work to create such a marvel. The quality of these Persian pieces is clear, the work is fine, precise and durable.
The materials used are of top quality, which means that these pieces remain in good used condition, 50 to 70 years later.
This rug is clean, the wool is soft, knotted beautifully and finely tight as these rugs always are.
It reveals to us nuances full of contrasts, many colors.
Large branches placed on an ivory field and an incredible medallion based on pink, blue and ivory. It is surrounded by a border of bouquets of roses, lotus flowers, stylized flowers, calligraphy cartridges and rosettes.
Traditional wool rug, comfortable and heavy duty.
The nuances underline this learned floral design in the great tradition of Persian art which is also found in Mughal art, inspired by the miniatures of the school of Tabriz, then capital of the Persian empire, but completely revised in mid-20th century.
Indeed, the Persian carpet trade has existed for several centuries and the trade, European and American demand, means that the workshops comply with the requirements of the sponsors and those since the sixteenth century.
