"Pair Of 19th Century Marquetry Bedside Nightstands Tables"
An elegant pair of tambour-shaped bedside tables with fine marquetry inlay on all four sides. Each table opens with three drawers, and stands on four elegant and slightly curved legs joined by a lower shelf, and terminating in brass sabots. Crafted in the Louis XV style, the tables have a marquetry inlaid design of flowers and foliage on their top trays, which are surrounded by a pierced gilt brass gallery. The marquetry is exquisite, and features diagonal style motifs on each drawer front, as well as additional floral detailing on the back and sides, and there is generous decoration in the form of ornate drawer pulls and ormolu mounts throughout.
