"Sculpture Francine Toulemonde “female Bust” Vase Ceramic 20th Century Enameled Stoneware Signed "
SCULPTURE-MODERN ART-CERAMICS FRANCE CIRCA 1990/2000 ENAMEL STONEWARE VASE/SCULPTURE "FEMALE BUST" Francine Toulemonde (1950-2011) was a French sculptor (cement, bronze, steel, ceramic...) who described herself as "instinctual " and not intellectual. His first and main inspiration was the human body in all its subjectivity and sensuality. His preferred medium was bronze; she only made rare sculptural forays into ceramics. Our piece, in enameled and stamped stoneware, is an ode to femininity, to sensuality, with this bust more suggestive than suggestive. A great success from this great artist. Signed with stylus lower left. Very good condition (see descriptive photos). Weight: 956 grams.
