"Charming Louis XV Library Cartel, 19th In Red Tortoiseshell And Copper Ornamented With Bronze"
I present this delightful Louis XV style cartel in Boulle marquetry of red tortoiseshell and brass decorated with gilded bronze in Baroque style. Equipped with a beautiful “Paris” movement, it has no original chime and is a Library alcove element. Its beautiful dial is in perfect condition and on beautiful white enamel with black Arabic numerals; from the second part of the 19th century, this pretty piece is a careful work from Faubourg (Saint-Antoine, Paris). The own mechanism is in working order and has an adjustable axis at the top of the dial for advance and delay, has its winding key; and the cartel body is in black lacquer for the sides and back. Measured in size, this pretty piece has decorative and useful interest, in good original condition, clean marquetry and very red tortoiseshell.
