"Box, Germany 18th Century."
This beautiful box is in walnut and ebony marquetry, it is generously molded over its entire height and around the edge of a succession of ogees and cords of different sizes. It opens on top with a lid fitted inside with a mirror and with a drawer on the front, the grip of the latter in the shape of a fist. The box is in good general condition but the interior which was probably compartmentalized has been emptied of its fittings, it deserves to be lined with silk or velvet, along the length in the back of the box a small wand, this last little defect is barely visible. Mid-18th century period. Origin, Germany. Dimensions length 29 cm, depth 19.5 cm, height 16 cm.
