Object description :

"Equestrian Statue Of The Colleone, After Verrochio, Bronze With Antique Green Patina, 19th Century"
The Colleone Statue is a bronze equestrian statue representing the condottiere Bartolomeo Colleoni. It stands on the Campo dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Venice, facing the Basilica of San Zanipolo. It is the work of the Florentine sculptor Andrea Del Verrochio who worked there from 1483 to 1488. Our bronze work with an antique green patina is a very beautiful creation with great attention to detail and finesse in the casting of the bronze. The green patina perfectly highlights both the horse and the soldier. Light yellow marble base. Signed on the Verrochio terrace and marked on the back "Bronze, Made in France". Period late 19th, early 20th century. Delivery 18 euros in France, 35 euros in the EU and 100 euros rest of the world.
