Large Louis XV Venerie Dagger. Hunting

This hunting dagger is typical of 18th century manufacturing. It is a weapon intended for use with large game (deer, roe deer) due to the length of its blade.
 BLADE: After a very short ricasso or heel, it is double-edged, with a lenticular section. we note traces of engravings, worn by time, we easily recognize a sun, scrolls, a deer...
Length of the blade = 59.5 cm, Width at the heel 3.1 cm, thickness at the heel = 7.2 mm
GUARD CROSS = it is in silvered bronze or silver, with inverted quillons. It is completed by a scabbard cover
HANDLE: it is made of hard wood, with scrolls with a silver ribbon and a twisted brass wire binding inside the scrolls.
The pommel is made of wood, it is attached to the handle, and is topped with a small spherical button to which the tang of the blade is riveted.
It is therefore a beautiful hunting weapon, which has a beautiful patina.
It is vintage and in Louis XV style, and will elegantly decorate an interior with a hunting theme.
