"Carved Wood "lion" Late 17th - Early 18th"
Carved wood decorated with a lion's head carved in very relief. The lion is represented holding a zinc fountain mouth in its mouth, (but nothing allows the water to pass through). Foliage completes the decoration on either side of the head. The walnut has acquired a beautiful patina, with some traces of wood-burning without any impact on its solidity.
