Oil on canvas representing Place Jean-Baptiste Clément in Montmartre. Signed Herbo lower right. This painting dates from 1960 and took part in a Herbo gallery exhibition. His signature is accompanied by an anchor because he was appointed painter of the National Navy in 1944. Its Louis XV style gilded frame in very good condition measures 103 cm x 82 cm. Fernand Herbo (1905-1995), close to Maurice De Vlaminck and Emile Othon Friesz, is present in numerous museums: Cabourg, Dreux, Honfleur, Lille, Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris. His favorite themes are Montmartre and Honfleur.
