18th Hunting Kit flag

Object description :

"18th Hunting Kit"
It is a typical hunting kit from the 18th century, probably Germanic. It consists of a knife, a fork and a thick sewn leather sheath.
Of course these utensils were not intended to injure the game, but to be used by the hunter in a moment of comfort to be able to elegantly eat a snack such as pâté, blood sausage, or smorgasbord of guinea fowl in jelly....
KNIFE: it has a steel blade with a rounded tip which rises slightly. Blade length 9.8 cm. The handle is elegant, it is made of white metal which I assume to be silver, although I did not see any hallmark. Total length of the knife 19 cm
FORK: it has 3 teeth, of a shape quite frequently encountered for forks in hunting kits. The handle is almost identical to that of the knife, although with very small differences. Total length of the fork 16.8 cm
SHEATH: it is in black stitched leather, and has a decoration of oak leaves and flowers on one side. This choice of the oak leaf confirms the Germanic origin since in the tradition of these regions across the Rhine, it is a symbol of strength, constancy, fidelity.
This nice little set must find a place in a collection of a lover of objects related to hunting.
