Dimensions: chassis: 38.5 x 55.5 cm frame: 44.5 x 61 cm Jean CAMUS (Clermont-Ferrand, 1877 - Paris, 1955) Known especially for his sculptures, Jean Camus produced abundantly, on multiple supports (marble , bronze, wood, terracotta). Twelve memorials to the dead of the Great War created by the artist have been listed in the department of Puy-de-Dôme alone. His paintings are those of landscapes, with a classic line but complemented by a skilful play of brief smooth touches and small impasto, in order to obtain an effect of relief specific to the eye of the sculptor.
