Very Important Especially In Fountain Early 19th Century

This exceptional piece is especially inspired by what was done during the Renaissance, table fountain, automaton. Its architecture is that of an Italian town square entrance (or fountain).
The circular base is supported by four turtles. In an arch between the tiers are four grotesques, we will think of Boboli Park, four groups of fruits are placed on a foliage background.
A building with four niches, the head of which has radiating grooves, houses four antique-style statues of women. The roof of this building is made up of broken pediments supporting four languid putti. A large crystal basin tops and completes this beautiful and rare piece.
The detailed carving work is typical of the restoration period. The basin is entirely cut from melon ribs with a rim cut into braces, it is a work by Creusot or Baccarat. The carving of the bronze is particularly elegant, note the details of the hairstyles of the four women for example.
Numerous architectural elements give this place the appearance of a miniature monument. It is therefore a work from the beginning of the 19th century, probably done around 1820. The very detailed drawing, still classic, and a technique of adjusting parts made on the workbench one after the other.

Condition:
Excellent condition, the central fixing by threaded rod has been refurbished to allow safe dismantling and reassembly of the crystal basin. A small, almost invisible chip on the basin. Old restoration of the complex assembly of the base.
