"Little Happiness Of The Day In Rosewood, Louis XV Style – Mid-19th Century"
This little joy of the day opens with a drawer in rosewood veneer arranged like a butterfly's wings. This one, garnished with an ornate bronze rod, is equipped with a functional lock with key as well as an original entrance. The belt is also plated in the same way. The underside of each crosspiece is cut and stands out on a whipped foot adorned with a long drop ending in a bronze shoe. The sliding veneer tablet, always arranged in four sheets, is covered in red leather with gold and cold-stamped vignettes. The recessed upper part has two small drawers with bronze handles in rosewood and amaranth veneer. Above, the two glass doors, highlighted with bronze strips, are fitted with a lock in perfect working order with key and entrance. The interior offers a fixed shelf mounted on battens. The uprights are decorated with bronze motifs decorated with knots and laurel branches. The sides and top are also veneered in four sheets.
