Object description :

"Rare Cabinet Armchair, Late Louis XIV Period"

Rare and beautiful cabinet (or office) armchair in gilded, molded and carved walnut, decorated with shells, acanthus leaves and reticulated motifs, standing on four ribbed sheep bone legs, joined by an X-shaped spacer. Armrests with tan leather cuffs (used) and removable pad of the same leather for the seat.
End of the Louis XIV period, around 1710/1715.
Very good condition.
