Description: Elegant still life attributed to an 18th century Neapolitan painter, depicting a vase full of bright and detailed flowers, including peonies, anemones and sunflowers. Next to it we notice a fruit basket, intended to symbolize abundance and transience. The mountainous background adds depth and the play of light and shadow gives three-dimensionality to the work. The work is enclosed in a precious hand-crafted frame, which further enhances its refinement and artistic value. The quality of the painting, combined with its Neapolitan provenance, suggests the influence of the local school of painting, renowned for its attention to detail and skilful use of color and light.
