Painter of typical scenes, landscapes, animated landscapes, watercolorist, illustrator, poster artist. Post-impressionist He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He was a friend of Paul-Emile Pissaro, of Moteley, of Léandre.
He painted landscape scenes in Normandy and Brittany, small fishing ports, as well as the laborious life of the hamlets: the baker, the farrier, the carpenter, etc. his painting is located in the vast French post-impressionist movement.
We also owe him illustrations for novels and tourist guides on Normandy, as well as numerous posters.
