"Tripod Mustard Pot With Snakes In Sterling Silver France 1809-1819"
Mustard pot in solid silver (950/1000) with tripod feet in the shape of a caduceus/snake decorated with leaves and seeds, ending with small foliage motifs gathered at the triangular base. It has a handle in the shape of a lion's head, all very finely chiseled. Later cut crystal verrine. France, 1809-1819. Goldsmith's hallmarks PM, most probably the rooster in an oval (inside the lid) + warrior's head on the right and from the Goldsmiths' Association 1. Weight: 111, 80 g without the glass Dimensions: Height: 11 cm Diameter: 6.4 cm excluding handle Good condition. A small point of impact on the lid caused by opening (see photo).
