George Hendrik Breitner (Rotterdam, 1857 – Amsterdam, 1923) was a Dutch painter, known for his depiction of urban life in Amsterdam. His work is related to that of the “Tachtigers”; a group of artists with a great influence on the Dutch art world in the 1880s.
