"Albert Vagh; “low Tide At The Port Of Saint-jean De Luz”"
Albert Vagh-Weinmann (1931-1983): “Low tide at the port of Saint-Jean de Luz”, oil on canvas 38 x 46 cm, mounted in a modern black and gold baguette 52 x 61 cm. Son and student of Elemer and therefore nephew of Nandor and Maurice, a dynasty of artists of Hungarian origin established in the Basque Country, Albert an early painter works in a style all his own, between that of his father and Rodolphe Caillaux, dealing in a generous dough and just the Basque ingredients that made its reputation. Here, the port of Saint-Jean de Luz with the Maison de l'Infante dominating the resting trawlers. Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or telephone. In partnership with Galerie Lafouresse, we are specialists in paintings on the Basque Country, the Landes and the Arcachon Basin.
