A charming French LXVI fireplace-surround, made out of a very softly mottled Carrara marble. The double moulded shelf is resting over a decorated frieze, which is mounted with a panel, depicting a ribbon tied garland with flowers. The Acanthine paterae endblocks are mounted above fluted jambs. Late 19th century. Will be delivered with old marble floortiles, Carrara if you wish, to make a frontfloor.
