"Cloisonné Enameled Bronze Plaque With Saint Anne."
Bronze plaque decorated with cloisonné enamel with a depiction of Saint Anne blessing. It is a rather unusual object, with a style reminiscent of the famous productions of medieval Limousin art, but which appears to be a representation of a more advanced and fully Renaissance age. Therefore it is not easy to be able to give a geographical location to this liturgical artefact made in a European or perhaps Northern Italian sumptuary art workshop which was based on the Limoges smalt productions.
