Quality cabinetmaking work with beautiful sheets of rosewood, veneered on a walnut frame. The lock which is original works with a key with an ornate head, the period ironwork in silvered bronze consists of side handles for transport, a small ring on the front to lift the cover as well as a lock entrance inset. Once opened, the interior reveals a mercury mirror placed in the bottom of the lid, the hinge of the lid is held in position thanks to a silvered bronze compass, all these elements are also from the period, the interior which is composed a small removable tray revealing 4 compartments is dressed in a green moire.
