Large box with a domed top dating from the middle of the 18th century, veneered in violet wood on all sides, the veneer is horizontal wire on all 4 sides, the lid is more worked with a traditional curling found under the Regency and at the beginning of Louis XV with a diamond inscribed in a rectangle. The frame is entirely in walnut, the lid is mounted on iron hinges, locking with an iron auberonniere lock which operates with its key, keyhole in cut-out iron and ring socket on rosette to lift the lid.
