Pair of Louis XVI period marble and gilt bronze candlesticks known as the Chinese. The shaft is in blue turquin marble decorated with chains, resting on a gilt and chiseled bronze base. The shaft is topped with black patinated bronze sculptures representing Chinese people. They carry torches formed from gilt and chiseled acanthus leaves. French work, 18th century. Very good condition (see photos). Dimensions 31 x 9 x 9 cm
