"Nicolas Guy Antoine Brenet Napoleon Medal "
Pewter medals by Nicolas Guy Antoine Brenet (1770-1846) representing the two statues of Napoleon erected at the top of the Vendôme column, the one installed between 1810 and April 1814, and the other commissioned by Louis-Philippe I to be installed in July 1833. Two original pewter prints of the medals are framed in a mahogany veneered frame rimmed with brass. The diameter of the medals is 5.4 cm. Slots in the center and top right in the mahogany panel are visible in the photographs.
