Object description :

"19th Century Music Box, Blackened Mahogany Case, Fir Base, Eight Tunes To Identify"
Beautiful old music box in working order which seems to play at least eight different tunes, the mechanism, roller, movement, comb are made of steel and brass, the pivot heads of the axis seem to be rubies.
* The manufacturer's paper label is missing *
Apparently, after some research, this music box played eight tunes and was made by the "Fabrique de Genève" (I have attached a photo of a label from another music box which appears to be mechanically identical in every respect which specifies the tunes played).

The pins are all present and in good condition, in fact the music tunes are beautiful and the game does not seem to have any gaps or false notes, A small glass shutter protects the mechanisms from dust, on the left side a small arm of lever is used to wind the barrel spring and on the right side small levers seem intended to change the air and stop the movement (I don't know enough about this to tell you more).

The structure is made of solid blackened mahogany, the base is made of fir. I can possibly send you a video which will show you this music box in operation and which will allow you to simultaneously listen to the two tunes which seem to be played.
Note a slight oxidation in certain places on the steel parts, but really very scattered; few things.

If you are interested, please do not hesitate to make me a fair offer.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate, we are here to help.
