"Large Serving Console Stamped Dusautoy"
Large half-moon-shaped serving console in mahogany and mahogany veneer. The belt opens with a central drawer and two side drawers. It rests on four tapered uprights joined by a crotch shelf. It is decorated with a very beautiful decoration of chiseled and gilded bronzes. Carrara white marble. Stamped Jean-Pierre Dusautoy (1719-1800) Carpenter-cabinetmaker. Paris. Master on September 1, 1779. He marked with his stamp with large clumsy characters many small pieces of furniture: especially small bedside tables, round, rectangular or oval.
