"Bembe "owl" Mask, Democratic Republic Of Congo. "
Very rare old mask from the first half of the 20th century from the former Belgian Congo. The object measures approximately 55cms high, carved in a light but firm wood, particularly aged in an inimitable way by use and time, aesthetically very characteristic of the ethnic group. This mask comes from the collection of Mr P. Fougerouse (famous rally-raid car driver, particularly from the DAKAR in the years 1970-85). A particularly aesthetic precious object, rare of this quality.
