Rare 18th century solid silver Wine Taster from Orleans, model with large gadroons and rows of dots/pearls, one at the top and two at the bottom. The ribbed handle is made up of a tab taken from a piece and folded into a ring. Border engraved "PIERRE CRIBIER 1780". Charge Hallmark (flowered and crowned letter R) and Discharge Hallmark (child's head in profile) from ORLEANS 1768-75, Jurande Hallmark for ORLEANS 1774 (date letter F Crowned) and Hallmark of Master Goldsmith Jean-François BECHARD (Hallmark with the initials "IFB" under a crowned heart of lilies) received in 1774.This rare wine taster from Orleans is in very good condition and remarkably hallmarked, micro-scratches from use.
