This enhanced copper engraving is an optical view of the "perspective of the Palais Royal from the garden side" by the engraver Louis Joseph Mondhare (1734-1799) Engraver, publisher and merchant LJ Mondhare whose address is noted at the bottom right of the engraving: rue Saint Jacques at the Hôtel de Saumur was located in Paris from 1759 and ceased his activity around 1792, leaving his son-in-law Pierre Jean (1754-1829) to succeed him. There is a small stain (see photo 3) The inner glass has been cleaned and the back has been changed.
