"Fang Reliquary Guardian Bust, Gabon"
Very old bust of a Byeri Fang reliquary effigy (more than half a century in the same collection). The object measures approximately 45 cm high excluding the base. It is an object made of very dry hardwood, eroded in places by time. The thick and shiny patina is remarkable, without any suspicious noticeable odor or artifice. It is a particularly neat object in the characteristics codified by the ethnic group it represents and whose "strength" and presence are undeniable. A rare object of this quality, the simple base in blackened wood is of old manufacture.
