Description Additional information Shipping Kota Obamba ritual reliquary sculpture from Gabon measuring 49cm excluding base, core of monoxyl wood plated with beautifully patinated stapled copper. It is worth noting the great mastery of the work of these materials. The antiquity of this dense wood is quite remarkable with its deep patina of use and its erosions of time indicating that with certainty we can date this sculpture at the latest at the beginning of the 20th century. An unpublished object in its completely homogeneous juice without dubious "tinkering" having spent most of its time as a travel souvenir at the bottom of a trunk. It should be noted an old break amputating the jamb of the object. The metal base is of modern manufacture.
