"Set Of Three Chinese Fertility Dolls"
19th century articulated wooden ritual dolls used by the MIAO, YAO and NAXI cultures. Married couples wanting children come to pray at the temple, bringing a doll that they leave as an offering. Wooden sculpture patinated by time measuring 28 cm, remains of old polychrome patina of fairly well preserved origin and still perfectly legible. It should be noted that one hand is missing from one of the statues. The metal base is of modern manufacture. This very rare set comes from the old collection of the hyperrealist painter PA from his house in Taroudant, Morocco.
