Beautiful Scent Box, Pot Pourri Turned Wood, Carved & Openwork, Switzerland Or Jura, 19th C

Very pretty little odor box, also called pot pourri. It rests on a circular pedestal carved above, and accommodates a body decorated with high relief peaks, a frieze of palmettes, and openwork oval parts. The cover, equipped with a " frettel"or a thumb piece, is decorated with a twist of engraved lines.
Beautiful antique item, no notable flaw, very good genuine condition.
Probably Swiss working, or French from the Jura area, dating from the middle of the 19th century.
Dimensions: 13cm H x 9cm Diameter.
