"Senufo Bronze Statuette, Ivory Coast."
Fragment of a bronze statuette from the Senufo ethnic group of Ivory Coast. The object measures 21 cm without the base. The statue, incomplete by accident or by default in lost wax casting, still retains all of its truly remarkable aesthetic quality despite these shortcomings. The patina of time on this bronze sculpture is deep. It is a very old object. The metal base is of modern manufacture.
