Beautiful Renaissance Chest-Wardrobe from the 17th Century
This stunning Renaissance chest-wardrobe dates back to the 17th century and is in good overall condition, entirely original, including its key and lock. No external parts have been replaced. It features a magnificent original patina, waxed with oxblood.
The carved decoration showcases four finely sculpted large heads, likely representing Bacchus or Dionysus, gods of wine—an evident tribute to the Burgundian winemaking tradition from which it originates.
This unique and authentic piece shows only minor signs of wear due to its age, with no grafts or restorations.
